A career-driven woman with big dreams for herself. Kimberly Mas is a creative entrepreneur. She runs a multimedia production studio called Artsmith Studios, one of today’s most sought-after multimedia studios that specializes in creative design solutions for institutions and individuals. Artsmith has expanded into different ventures such as Animation, 3D Printing and many moe. Under her creative direction, the now-iconic “So Asian Comics” — a humorous look at the culture, lifestyle and tradition of Asian immigrants — quickly became the archetypal avatar among a new generation of Chinese-Filipinos, as their spot-on depictions of peculiar “Tsinoy” idiosyncrasies have redefined the perfect intermingling of Asian culture with comic art. The comics won various of awards locally.
An academically-gifted prodigy, she was a consistent honor student during her years at the Immaculate Conception Academy and graduated with one of the highest rankings in her Class of 2010. She was also a part of the swim team and various orgs during high school. Eschewing the traditional “business” and “technical” tracks usually taken by gifted grads of her caliber, she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Animation — her real passion — from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in 2013, a consistent dean’s lister with an Honorable Mention to boot. She has won various of awards with her stint as an animator – “Best in Animation (Student Category)” and “Award for Technical Excellence” awards in the Animahenasyon, the country’s national animation festival. Her works were also featured in Ayala Museum’s Hidden Cinema, Chinatown Museum and many more.
In between sharpening her skills in character gesture, cutout design, stop motion, hand-drawn sketching, perspective and composition, she also dabbled as a Student DJ at Mellow 94.7, a former Candy Magazine‘s “Council of Cool ’11” and a commercial & print ad model currently signed with RPM Artiste Management (RPM). With her bewitchingly statuesque figure of 5’7, she was even selected as a strong contender at the Mr and Ms Chinatown Philippines when the contest debuted in 2013. She was also selected to be Ms. Chinese World PH to represent the country in Ms. Chinese World back in 2020. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to compete in the world stage due to complications.
Apart from her super busy schedule, she still finds time to give back as a part-time faculty teaching Multimedia Arts & Animation. She even devotes a significant amount of her schedule as a part of the core team for Women Now PH, an online community of modern Filipina entrepreneurs and leaders. Kim was also the Vice President of Soroptimist International of Corinthians, an internationally-affiliated organization of women committed to better the lives of women and children through community-based initiatives.
Kim is also currently a professional e-sports commentator for MOBA titles. She shoutcasted for major Smart: Liga Adarna, the biggest all-female tournament here in the PH, Top Clans 2021: Summer Invitational, AcadArena, Unipin Ladies Series and many more. Catch her as Burgerkim in the e-sports world.
